Item: Confederate Charleston Arsenal High Base-Ring Bullet for .58 Cal. Mississippi Rifle
Condition: Excellent, excavated, unfired. The bullet has a bright white surface patina, a visible light mold seam and a round skirt. On the side directly opposite the one visible mold seam, is an area of incomplete rings. In addition to that, notice that the ends of the rings are off set from each other and would not have connected. This flaw is likely the result of a worn mold.
Recovered: Cumberland Church area, Farmville, VA.
Approximate size: .561-inch diameter, 1.11-inch length, 511 grains weight.

Comments: This bullet, with its interesting mold flaw, will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet or general relic collection.
