Item: Confederate Infantry Coat Button - Block "I"

Design: Roman "I" on a plain field.
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 22 mm.
Condition: Very good, excavated, secure shank present. The front has a green-brown patina with moderate ground action. Its back is rusty but solid. No pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Recovered: Spotsylvania County, VA area.

Comments: This fine Confederate infantry button was acquired directly from the local Virginia digger and will be an excellent addition to any Civil War button or general relic collection.
