Description: Roman "I" on a plain field.
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 22 mm.
Condition: Very good, excavated, secure shank present, bent to back and imbedded in rust. The front has a yellow soil coated green patina with moderate ground action. Its back is rusty but solid. No pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Recovered: Spotsylvania County, VA area.

Comments: This fine Confederate infantry button was acquired directly from the local Virginia digger and will be an excellent addition to any Civil War button or general relic collection. There will be no need to upgrade.
