Item: Confederate Infantry Coat Button - Cast White Metal
Backmark: Blank with a split anvil mark.
Construction: White metal, low convex, cast one-piece.
Approximate size: 24 mm.
Condition: Very good, excavated, secure wire shank present. Nice light grey patina with minimal surface ground action and some wear at the rim. No cracks, bends or repairs.
Recovered: During the 1970's from the Petersburg, VA area.

Comments: This button will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
