Item: Confederate Infantry Coat Button - Lined I

Design: Lined Roman letter "I" on a plain field.
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 23 mm.
Condition: Good, excavated, secure shank present and bent over to back. Brown-green patina. Front has minor push. Rear has moderate push. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Recovered: October 1987, Orange County, VA.

Comments: This Confederate infantry coat button was acquired directly from the family of the local Virginia digger, and it will be an excellent example addition to any Civil War button or general relic collection.
