Item: Confederate Ten-Dollar Note - 1864
Date: February 17, 1864
Printer: Primarily by "Keatinge & Ball, Columbia S.C." with additional printing by "Evans & Cogswell". Engraved by "Keatinge & Ball, Columbia S.C."
Design: The front shows horses pulling field artillery piece into action with Secretary of State Robert M. T. Hunter to the lower right. The note is hand numbered and signed in ink. The rear has a large "TEN" and four circular medallions with "10" at the corners.
Approximate size: 3 x 7 inches.
Condition: Good. The paper is semi-crisp with creases, edge wear, edge and corner folds, soiling, pin holes, discoloration and incomplete borders.
