Item: Wreath for Confederate States Two-Piece Sword Belt Plate
Construction: Cast brass.
Condition: Fair, excavated. The brass has aged into a very pleasing dusty green patina. The wreath's belt keeper is missing. There is a very minor inward push at the five o'clock position of the front view of the wreath. There are no cracks or repairs.
Recovered: Unknown
Approximate size: See additional images for measurements.
Comments: Included in this listing an image of the wreath coupled with a CS tongue to demonstrate how the wreath will appear with a tongue. As you will see the tongue fits nicely into the wreath. Also included is an image of the wreath which shows multiple measurements should you have a "CS" tongue you are attempting to match it with. This Confederate sword belt plate wreath will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War buckle or general relic collection. The CS tongue pictured with the wreath in the additional images is not included.
