Eagle Plate Marked H. A. DINGEE

Item: Non-excavated US eagle plate manufacturer marked "H. A. DINGEE".
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass with solder fill and iron wire loops.
Condition: Excellent. Its brass face has a beautiful yellow-golden patina with a very well-defined eagle, clutching arrows in its right talon and an olive branch in its left.  There is a very slight dent in the rim at the 10 o'clock position.  The rear has a complete complement of solder with both iron attachment loops standing straight up.  The manufacturer's mark of "H. A. DINGEE" is partially stamped showing the letters "H. A  ___GEE"   The plate has no cracks, breaks, repairs, or major dings or bends. 
Comments:  This non-excavated Dingee marked plate will be an excellent addition to any Civil War period US cartridge box sling in need of an eagle plate with good solid loops or simply displayed in any Civil War plate or general collection. 
Approximate diameter: 64 mm.
Approximate distance between loops at base: 51 mm (2 inches)
