Item: Federal 3.8-Inch Iron-Anvil Fuzed Hotchkiss Shell Nose
Gun: 14-pounder James rifle, 3.8-inch caliber
Fuzing: Iron-anvil percussion fuze.
Construction: Iron.
Approximate size: Weight: 7 pounds. Diameter: 3.68 inches. Length: 5.82 inches.
Condition: Very good, excavated. The shell's surface is stable with mild-moderate surface pitting and lightly clear coated. The unusual iron-anvil fuze is present. It has been deactivated and there are no repairs.
Recovered: Unknown
