Backmark: "* ~ U . S. ~ * ORDNANCE CORPS" dm
Design: Raised crossed cannons with "US" on a lined field under a flaming bomb.
Construction: Low convex, three-piece.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, secure shank present. Dark brown patina. Very tiny nick in the rim that may actually be a manufacturing flaw. No pushes, cracks or repairs.
Approximate size: 22 mm.
Recovered: Unknown

Comments: This Federal Ordnance coat button will be an excellent addition to any Civil War button or general relic collection.
