This Federal sword hanger measures approximately 3-inches in overall length and its strap ring is 1-5/8 inches wide. The brass now has a very pleasing dusty brown patina. Other than minor surface wear on the bottom of the hook there are no cracks, breaks, bends or repairs. It will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War campsite, battlefield, or general relic collection.
