Item: Federal US 3-inch Type I Blunt Nose Dyer Case-Shot
Gun: 3-inch Ordnance rifle.
Construction: Cast iron.
Fuzing: Zinc or lead adaptor for paper time fuze.
Sabot: Tin and Lead alloy cup.
Approximate size: Weight: 8.8 pounds; Diameter: 2.95-inch; Overall length: 6-1/2-inch.
Condition: Excavated, good, fired. The shell is in its raw "as dug" state with minor surface scaling. Fuse adaptor present. Sabot missing. Deactivated.
Recovered: Unknown.
