Manufacturers' marks included are Smith, Gaylord, Boyd, Dingee, Pittman, Wilkinson, Hunter, and Peters. State, militia, and sword belt plates are also pictured and described to include NY, SNY, VMM, and OVM. In the additional images of this guide you will see only a small sampling of what is included as there are many more images, with descriptions, of different plates. The guide is a must have for anyone with an interest in, or is a collector of, Federal Civil War plates especially with an interest in manufacture marked examples.
