Here we have an interesting recovery of a pair of buttons connected by a bachelor ring. A Federal general service eagle coat button and a Federal Navy cuff button both excavated in Varina, VA. Both buttons have a dusty green patina and are in very good condition. The general service eagle button (19mm) appears to have a blank back mark, while the Navy cuff (15mm) has a depressed mark of "EXTRA QUALITY". The cuff may have a very minor push with no cracks, breaks or repairs. The eagle coat has no pushes, cracks, breaks or repairs. This oddly connected pair will be an excellent addition to any Civil War button or general relic collection.
