US Model 1819 Hall Rifle Bayonet - Marked "US" / "SN"

Item: US Model 1819 Hall Rifle Bayonet - Marked "US" / "SN"
Condition: Excellent, non-excavated. It has an overall brown patina with very mild pitting. The blade face is clearly stamped with letters "US" over "SN" (Simeon North). There are no bends, breaks or repairs.
Approximate size: 19 inches overall length; 2-7/8-inch socket length; 7/8-inch blade width.
Reference: A similar, but not exact example, is found in the following bayonet reference book:

  • "American Socket Bayonets and Scabbards", by Robert M. Reilly, pages 55-56. Drawings: pages 61-62.
