This pair of excavated iron stirrups were recovered off Bull Frog Road in the Gettysburg, PA area. Both are in very good solid condition and were lightly clear coated long ago to prevent further deterioration. They both measure approximately 5 inches in width and 5-1/4 inches in height. The footrests (treads) measure 2-7/8 inches in width. This pair of stirrups will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War campsite, battlefield, or general relic collection.
