Leather Shot Pouch - 19th Century Usage

This leather shot pouch dates to the 19th century and was for use with a muzzle loading gun or rifle. The brass charger tube is solidly connected to the pouch and the leather remains supple. There is a hole in the pouch where it meets the tube. The tube, with its dark patina, is missing its lower stopper plate. Its overall measurement is approximately 3-1/2 x 8-3/4 inches. Though not a perfect example, it will be an excellent addition to any early American pioneer history display.
