Construction: Low convex, one-piece.
Approximate size: 23 mm.

Comments: The majority of this classification of North Carolina sunburst buttons are recovered without their shanks. This is primarily due to its non-footed shank having been spot brazed or soldered to the button's rear resulting in a fragile design. This very nice example is from the Glenn Trimmer collection and will be an excellent addition to any Civil War button or general relic collection.
