Item: Carved .58 Caliber Three-Ring Bullet
Description: Excavated bullet with its base bottom portion removed leaving only two rings. Its remaining base has small carved lines on its sides and bottom. The bullet's tip was whittled away leaving a rounded nose. Two rings remain visible. A small amount of soil remains in the cavity. Overall white patina with brown surface residue indicative of a woods recovery.
Recovered: A Virginia recovery.
Approximate size:  .573 x .878 inches (measurements vary due to distortion).
Comments: This artwork was likely created by an idle soldier and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet, campsite, or general relic collection.
