Item: .52 Caliber Sharps & Hankins Carbine "New Model" Bullet with Projecting Pin
Condition: Very good, excavated, unfired. Smooth surface with grey-white patina. There is a very minor period dent in the base rim which is likely the result of a mold flaw. Pronounced raised rings and pin. No repairs.
Recovered: Unknown 
Approximate size: .537 inch. diameter; 1.08 inch. length; 453 grains weight.

Comments: The bullet is from a collection of relics acquired directly from a local digger's family that were all recovered from central Virginia Civil War sites. It will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet or general relic collection.
