Design: Lined old English "A" on a plain field.
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 23 mm.
Condition: Very good, excavated, secure shank present. Thin dark surface coating with an underlying reddish-brown patina. No pushes, cracks, breaks or repairs.
Recovered: Unknown.

Comments: The button was acquired directly from the family of the Virginia digger and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
