Description: Eagle and shield, left talon holding olive branch, right talon holding three arrows.
Construction: High convex, three-piece.
Approximate size: 15 mm.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, secure shank present. This solid button has an even dark brown patina with no pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Recovered: During the 1970s from the Petersburg, VA area.
Reference: Tice: Unl. Albert: Unl.
Comments: This staff officer cuff button was acquired directly from the digger and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
