Comments: Referred to as the "Buckle Bible", this out-of-print reference book is one of the best reference books for American military buckles, ammunition box plates, sword belt plates, cartridge box plates and various related buckles and plates. There are hundreds of excellent front and back identification and reference photos. Also includes a chapter on replicas, reproductions and fakes, a photo section of civil war soldiers with identifiable buckles apparent, a photo section of buckles still on original belts, plus nine appendixes with photos and a bibliography. See the additional images for a random selection of a fraction of what this book contains. This book is a must have for the serious Civil War buckle and plate collector.
