This excavated pocket knife is 3-3/4 inches in length and is from a collection primarily assembled from the Gettysburg, PA area. It appears that it has two blades which are now fused closed due to time in the ground. On one side retains a significant piece of its wood grip nearly running its entire length. The knife's surface was thinly coated at some point as a protective measure, but the coating now appears to be wearing away at some areas. There are no known repairs and this pocket knife will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War knife, campsite, or general relic collection.
