Item: Regimental Number "0" - Large Size
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, attachment device missing. Brown patina. Very slight inward bend. Remnants of solder remain on the rear that once supported the attachment device. No cracks, breaks or repairs.
Recovered: Seven Days Battles area of Va.
Approximate size: 3/4 x 1-inch.

Comments: Excavated regimental numbers are rarely recovered with their attachment device. This number "0" was acquired directly from the family of the digger who hunted Civil War trails, campsites, and battle sites throughout central Virginia. It will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War insignia or general relic collection.
