US & CS Bullet and Button Relic Display - Petersburg

SOLD

This display includes examples of bullets and buttons from both sides of the war that were all recovered from various areas of the Petersburg, VA campaign. They were acquired directly from the relic hunter who kept detailed records of his finds. For the north is a Union 3-ring bullet and a Union general service "eagle" coat button. For the south is a Confederate Gardner bullet and one half of a North Carolina sunburst coat button. These relics are all listed and described on the rear of the display indicating the item, date, and location of recovery. A close up image of this list is included in the additional images to the left of this description. They are nicely displayed and labeled in a 5-1/4(W) x 6-1/4(L) x 7/8(D) inch glass top display case which will be included. The case and its glass top are secured by straight pins on either side of the box. These US & CS bullets and buttons will be an excellent display for any office, den, or family room, and will also be a great gift for the American history buff.
