Item: Rhode Island State Seal Cuff Button

Construction: High convex, three-piece.
Approximate size: 14 mm.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, secure shank present. Covered with gilt on both front and back. No pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Recovered: January 1986 at Cumberland Landing, New Kent Co., VA

Comments: Included in the additional images of the button is an image of the digger's index card indicating, in most cases, the button's identification, assessment of condition, recovery date & location and other general information. An image of this card will be included with the button. In the unlikely event where there are discrepancies between the digger's description and Virginia Relic's description, Virginia Relic's description shall be deemed correct. This button comes directly from the digger's family and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
