Soldier's Shaving Mirror - "A 47t PV"

SOLD

This non-excavated shaving mirror is very good condition. Carved into wood top is "A 47t PV" which likely indicates that it was carried by a soldier who belonged to Company A of the 47th Pennsylvania Volunteers. The mirror has no cracks or breaks but does have minor rear silver loss. The smooth wood sides are in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs and both have a handsome light brown maple color. The hinge is intact but should be handled gently. This soldier's shaving mirror will be an excellent addition to any Civil War personal item, campsite, or general relic collection.
