Item: Spencer Carbine Cartridge

Condition: Very good, excavated, solid. The bullet portion has an uncleaned white patina. Its brass cartridge casing has a green-brown patina. There is an approximate 1/2-inch hairline fracture in the cartridge but otherwise there are no dents, breaks, or repairs. It is not a "put-together".
Recovered: Fredericksburg, VA area.
Approximate size: .553 inch. diameter; 1.71 inch. length; 501 grains weight.
