Soldier's Sewing Thimble - Large

This excavated soldier's sewing thimble is in fair condition, has a pleasing rich brown patina and believed to be constructed of brass. There are very small holes and denting at the fingertip end but is otherwise in good form and still solid. It measures approximately 3/4-inch in diameter at the opening and 1-inch in length.

This thimble was included with a collection of other excavated Civil War relics acquired by Virginia Relics. Many of the items were recovered from both Virginia and Pennsylvania. It will be an excellent example to add to any excavated Civil War campsite or general relic collection.
