Item: US Waist Belt Buckle - Arrow Type Hooks
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass with raised letters "US". Rear with solder fill and arrow type attachment hooks.
Condition: Very good, excavated. Its brass front, with its distinctive tall letters, has a dusty brown patina with hints of original brass showing through. The rim is fully intact with no issues. The rear solder is pitted but stable with all three attachment hooks present. The plate has no cracks, breaks, bends or repairs.
Recovered: In the area of the Bermuda Hundred Campaign, Chesterfield, VA.
Approximate size: 56 x 87 mm.
Comments: This US waist belt buckle will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War buckle, plate, or general relic collection.
