US Cavalry Horse Bridle Bit Boss

This brass US cavalry horse bridle bit boss is in excellent condition and was acquired direct from the digger, who recovered it in the area of Brandy Station, VA. This example has a light green patina with raised letters "U.S" on a stippled background. Its bottom tab still retains the attachment stem and there are no cracks, breaks, bends, or repairs. This example will be a very nice addition to any excavated Civil War US cavalry horse tack, campsite, or general relic collection. Approximately 1 1/4 x 2 1/8 inches.
