US Rifleman Button

Item: Excavated US Rifleman Coat Button
Backmark: "SCHUYLER H & G CO / NEW-YORK"
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 21 mm.
Condition: Very good, excavated, secure shank present. Ample gilt over a smooth brown patina with no ground action. The shank shows tiny remnants of old clear epoxy once used for display. The button has no pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Comments: This Rifleman coat button will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
