Item: Alabama Volunteer Corps Coat Button
Backmark: "SCOVILL MF'G CO / WATERBURY" rmdc
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 21 mm.
Condition: Very good, excavated, secure shank present. This handsome button has plenty of gilt nicely highlighting the eagle and letters "AVC". There is a very small, nearly unnoticeable old break in the rear under the bent over secure shank. There are no pushes, cracks, repairs.
Recovered: Augusta, GA area.

Comments: This Alabama Volunteer Corps coat button will display very nicely and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
