Artillery "Crossed Cannons" Hat Insignia - Todd's Tavern

Item: Artillery "Crossed Cannons" Hat Insignia.
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass.
Condition: Very good, excavated. This solid artillery insignia has a very pleasing dusty deep green patina. The device is complete with the exception of the attachment loops. There is bending in the center and a few very minor edge nicks. There are no cracks or repairs. The rear still has remnants of solder where the loops were once attached.
Recovered: In the area of Todd's Tavern, VA (aka. Wilderness)
Approximate size: 1-7/8 x 3-1/8 inches.
Comments: This insignia will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War insignia, artillery, or general relic collection.
