Item: Federal Cavalry Spur - Marked "Allegheny Arsenal" and "2"
Construction:
 Cast brass.
Approximate size:
 2-15/16 x 4-1/4 inches.
Condition: 
Very good, excavated. A solid spur with an overall brown-bronze patina. Its rowel is no longer present. No bends, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Recovered: Stafford County, VA.

Comments:  The majority of spurs recovered are un-marked. The numeral "2" represents its size. This marked Federal spur will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War spur, Cavalry, or general relic collection.
