Item: Regimental Number "7" - Large Size
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, attachment device missing. Chocolate brown patina. Remnants of solder remain on the rear that once supported the attachment device. No cracks, breaks, bends or repairs.
Recovered: Northern Virginia area.
Approximate size: 3/4 x 1-1/8-inch.

Comments: Excavated regimental numbers are rarely recovered with their attachment device. This number "7" was acquired directly from the digger and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War insignia or general relic collection.
